National Field Service Technician (Fast Team)

Rapid Recovery is the company's service division and the leading provider of refrigerant recovery services for the HVAC, refrigeration, demolition, and marine industries.

About the role

This role helps territories meet their refrigerant gas acquisition goals by assisting with large, complex, and specialty recoveries while ensuring compliant and legal refrigerant recovery processes are followed. You will serve as a subject matter expert on recoveries, training and re-training technicians and Field Service Managers to ensure overall safety and compliance.

Primary place of work: This role supports the Network and must be located near a major airport and a Network location.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to network locations across the assigned region to serve as the Subject Matter Expert on large, complex, and specialty refrigerant gas recoveries.
  • Communicate, train, and mentor field service technicians on EPA-compliant recoveries.
  • Ensure adherence to and provide training on Network Standards, including EPA 608 refrigerant gas recovery standards, safety practices, and truck/equipment/shop organization.
  • May assist or act as the Field Service Manager when needed, including visiting customers, scheduling technicians, completing electronic work orders, and updating the CRM.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Rapid Recovery’s products and services, including service, gas buy-back, and refrigerant spot buy sales.
  • Ensure all required data is entered into company job order software and sales systems.
  • Adhere to EPA and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Natural mechanical ability and strong communication skills.
  • Enjoy interacting with people and have excellent computer/data entry skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to secure a CDL-C/Hazmat certification.
  • Ability to complete training and pass EPA testing.
  • Must be 21 years or older with a clean driving record.
  • High travel position: must be able to travel 50% to 75%.
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending and stooping.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.

Pay

This position starts at $34 - $36/hour, depending on experience and geographic differential.
