About the role
Join our National Resorts Facilities team to support our numerous properties across the country. This is a salaried position with a remote opportunity, requiring weekend and on-call availability. Preferred candidates have a Certified Facility Manager certification and a risk management background.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Vice President of Facilities & Risk Management with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Serves as a Project Manager for construction, repair, and remodeling projects, overseeing vendor selection and contracting processes.
- Manages the vendor selection and contracting processes.
- Prepares and updates Reserve Studies and maintenance inventory systems.
- Monitors the performance of others to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Reports work-related accidents, or other injuries, immediately upon occurrence by completing an incident report and alerting HR and executive leadership.
- Ensures that staff follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reports any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; completes safety training and certifications.
- Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Assists management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Safeguards employee and guest privacy.
- Performs or oversees the duties of the Project Manager for construction, repair, and remodeling projects, including managing the vendor selection and contracting processes.
- Ensures proper specifications are drawn for each Project.
- Drafts and implements a Project Plan including the scope of work and timeline.
- Safeguards employee and guest privacy.
- Ensures compliance with local permitting and signage ordinances.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business development, or any other related major.
- Associate degree or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of work-related experience and a minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
- Technical Trade or Vocational School Degree.
- OSHA 40 certification and other Technical Certifications (ex. CPO).
- Certified Facility Manager via IFMA.
- Experience in doing facilities risk assessments.
- Managing renovation jobs and doing scope of work.
- Budgeting experience, writing reports, spreadsheets, and experience in Gantt Charts.
