Responsibilities

  • Manage new building construction, tenant improvement, and up-fit projects by collaborating with Owners, Architects, and General Contractors to ensure tenant improvement TI Spec’s and budget are adhered to throughout the project.
  • Warehouse and office Computer Aided Design (CAD) layout design based on customer requirements to maximize space utilization, financial considerations, and compliance with National Fire Protection Association and building code regulations.
  • Update the Equipment Pricing file as required for new business and ongoing operational support.
  • Provide Hazardous Materials storage, handling support, and designs that are code compliant by interfacing with the customer, Quality, Safety, Health and Environment, fire consultants, and authorities having local jurisdiction.
  • Develop facility sub-project plans and recommendations in support of KN/Customer objectives and implementation timelines; track and report on the status of the project.
  • Work with new and existing vendors to research, specify, and recommend capital equipment acquisitions (e.g., racking, Material Handling Equipment, furniture, conveyor systems, generators, cold rooms) as well as managing the delivery schedule and installation.
  • Interface with Purchasing, Finance, Security, IT, and other sub-project managers to align goals, objectives, and priorities.
  • Identify, track, manage, and mitigate project issues and risks.
  • Escalate issues and concerns to the appropriate parties to minimize any potential impact to the project timeline and successful implementation.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 3 to 5 years of facility, equipment maintenance, and implementation experience in a distribution environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products (including Microsoft Project and Visio) required.
  • Must work well in a collaborative team environment and communicate (verbal and written) effectively with customers, peers, and senior management.
  • Strong operational knowledge and expert problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to create and manage work plans and timelines and handle multiple priorities is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements.

About the role (National Security Director)

Lead a multidisciplinary national team focused on results, designing and managing patrimonial security strategies to meet global and national company objectives. Implement security policies and programs nationwide to maintain the integrity of the company’s assets and clients' goods throughout the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Establish national security objectives for the security team based on global and national goals.
  • Design security solutions for clients in Contract Logistics (warehouses and national distribution).
  • Align national security strategies with global policies, focusing on each business unit of the company.
  • Present security department scopes to clients in Contract Logistics.
  • Generate and present security information for employees across different business units about the security department’s scope.
  • Maintain updated security KPIs focused on each business unit.
  • Manage security vendors for facilities, employee security tests, and route security (intramural guards, MIDOT, Scan, polygraph, and custody).
  • Present investigation reports on security events to senior management, including root causes, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Propose continuous improvement and resource optimization for the company’s different business units.
  • Develop strategies to maintain the company’s security incident rates at the lowest possible level.
  • Present risk analysis of all national facilities (warehouses and offices) to senior management.
  • Ensure documents (procedures, SOPs, WI, formats, etc.) are updated annually.
  • Coordinate and supervise compliance with all certifications the company is committed to (national and international).
  • Be involved in RFQs, RFIs, and Go/No-Go decisions for the company nationwide across all business units.
  • Generate incident reports on global platforms (TIC) and report monthly security events nationally across all business units to the region and Nacora.
  • Attend all global security team meetings (QUEST).
  • Manage budgets.

Requirements

  • Graduate in Industrial Engineering, Transportation, Administration, Law, Public Security, or a related field.
  • Technical expertise and experience with standards such as ISO 31000, ISO 28001, ISO 23301, CTPAT, OEA, TAPA, BASC.
  • Experience in a logistics operator, with strong knowledge in Contract Logistics operations and high-volume merchandise operations.
  • Willingness to travel within Mexico.
  • Knowledge of transportation security.
  • Experience with warehouse security standards.
  • Experience leading national teams.
  • Business conversational English.
