About the Role

The Contract Logistics Distribution Solutions Engineer - Transportation designs, analyzes, and optimizes transportation solutions across parcel, LTL, truckload, and middle-mile operations. This role drives value through strategic solution development, accurate pricing, and network optimization to ensure market competitiveness and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven transportation strategies.
• Evaluate carrier proposals and lead complex tenders.
• Act as a solution and pricing expert, supporting customer interactions from concept to operational handover.
• Design and validate cost models, ensuring rate accuracy and margin integrity.
• Optimize network design through modeling and simulation, analyzing density, service levels, and costs for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Pricing, and IT.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation/logistics.

Skills

• Proven expertise in solution design, pricing, and large-scale customer support.
• Strong knowledge of parcel and LTL pricing structures, TMS tools, and network modeling.
• Analytical skills in cost modeling, profitability, and pricing validation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
