Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a plan for purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous recyclables from industrial accounts nationwide
- Material may be shipped directly to GLE facilities, partners, or consumers
- Experience with trading and logistics is necessary
- Understand all commodities and how markets affect values
- Communicate with customers – call, visit, and email as needed to understand their needs and identify opportunities
- Create, submit, and negotiate bids and contracts
- Establish and build relationships with new and existing customers
Requirements
- Five years of scrap metal buying, selling, trading, or operations experience
- National Account experience required
- Initiative and drive in pursuing customers and building a book of business
- Must be independent
- Software Management; CRM, Microsoft Office
- Excellent Communication (written and verbal) and Listening Skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Scheduling/Planning
- Time management
Qualifications
Preferably a Bachelor’s degree.
Skills
- Scrap metal buying, selling, trading, or operations experience
- National Account experience
- Independent and self-motivated
- Proficient in software management, CRM, Microsoft Office
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good scheduling and planning abilities
