About the role
Reporting to the Liability Zone Leader - West, you will join the team as a National Accounts Liability Executive Underwriter. You’ll leverage your established relationships with brokers and insureds to underwrite profitable new and renewal National Accounts Liability business.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal National Accounts Liability business, negotiating price, terms, and conditions with broker partners while proactively managing capacity, risk appetite, and profitability.
- Drive marketing initiatives and build strong, collaborative relationships with brokers by providing excellent customer service, technical knowledge, and support.
- Develop creative solutions for clients by collaborating with Risk Consultants, Product Development, and Claims teams.
- Participate in key projects that impact business results.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Lead Umbrella and High Excess underwriting.
- Ability to build and foster relationships internally and externally with broker partners.
- Outstanding technical skills with the ability to analyze complex data from multiple sources.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
- Ability to express ideas clearly in written and verbal communication.
- Strong thought leadership skills with the ability to persuade and motivate others.
- Solution-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Pay
The annualized base pay range for this role is $150,000 – $185,000. The actual salary may vary based on factors such as scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials, and experience. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which also includes annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
