National Account Director
Citizen Media Group is an IRS-registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that houses two distinct public-facing entities: The Philadelphia Citizen and Philadelphia Magazine. Administrative, editorial, and other business functions are shared across both brands.
About the role
The Philadelphia Citizen — a producer of digital content, thought-leader events, and civic engagement opportunities — exists to reinvigorate democracy in the American city where it was born and to replicate the highest ideals of Aristotle’s polis: autonomy, self-governance, equality, tolerance, independence in our products and in our very DNA as an organization.
Responsibilities
The Philadelphia Citizen seeks individuals who can contribute to the mission of reinvigorating democracy through innovative storytelling and community engagement. Responsibilities may include:
- Developing and executing content strategies for digital platforms
- Organizing and facilitating thought-leader events
- Engaging with the community to gather insights and feedback
- Writing and editing articles for digital and print publications
- Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and partners
Requirements
Requirements for this position include:
- A degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in journalism or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience with digital content creation and management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
Qualifications for this position include:
- Experience working on digital platforms
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with social media platforms
- Understanding of data analytics and reporting tools

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
