National Account Director
The Role
The primary role of the National Sales Director for Empower is to increase sales within key dealer-firms. The Dealer-Firm Director will increase sales by:
- Establishing, developing and managing strong relationships with senior B-D home-office sales, product, and marketing executives
- Developing campaigns, in conjunction with senior Empower Sales, Marketing, and Products personnel, targeted toward retirement focused Financial Advisors and their teams affiliated with their assigned dealer-firms.
- Attending dealer-firm and industry conferences seeking speaking engagements as a subject matter expert on Empower as well as broad industry topics
- Conducting dealer-firm affiliated sales-desk and / or field-level sales & support teams
What You Will Do
Develop and execute on a business plan to drive sales through key dealer-firms.
Communicate via all appropriate means (e.g., face-to-face, phone, email, webinars, conferences, etc.) with senior level executives within the industry’s most substantial defined contribution distributing dealer-firms.
Drive growth by working closely with Empower and Empower Investment Sales and Product teams.
Serve as a main contact and facilitator for any dealer-firm requests and initiatives.
Communicate internally to our key business partners and leverage senior management to enhance relationships in the marketplace.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- Required FINRA Series 6, 63 registrations within corporate-established timelines
- FINRA fingerprinting required
- Ten years directly related work experience in Defined Contribution administration, communication, and investments
- Strong, reputable relationships with key consulting firms and their internal decision makers
- In-depth knowledge of retirement plan markets, investment products, capital markets, portfolio theory
- Ability to communicate the benefits of Empower Products in a confident and compelling manner
- Will travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays, via air travel, train, and/or automobile to various states to attend meetings with key parties within assigned distribution channels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strict deadlines

- Base Salary Range: $125,400.00 - $181,875.00
- The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
- Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
