NASDA Part-time Field Enumerator - Wadena County

Responsibilities

  • Collect accurate and unbiased data from agricultural producers through in-depth interviews and crop counts.
  • Communicate benefits in all survey-related activities through professional interactions with diverse agricultural operations.
  • Conduct comprehensive training for specific studies on animal and plant health, farming practices, procedures, and various questionnaires.
  • Enter detailed data gathered from agricultural operators in a timely manner and report daily progress, time, and mileage.
  • Receive on-the-job training, flexibility, opportunities for professional advancement, and start at $17.75 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement and required supplies.

Requirements

  • Private workspace with a functional telephone and minimal distractions.
  • Maintained personal vehicle for travel related to field enumerator duties.
  • A flexible schedule that may include some evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and/or iPads.
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment with multiple tasks.
  • The ability to examine crop status in corn or soybean fields, lift/carry up to 40 lbs., walk unassisted on uneven ground for up to 100 yards.
  • The ability to travel up to 250 miles on a quarterly basis for training, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in sales or agriculture.
