NAR/Care Specialist

About the role

The NAR/Care Specialist provides direct care to residents to maintain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being through quality care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being through quality care.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with medication administration as per resident’s needs and policies.
• Participate in scheduled rounds and assessments to monitor residents’ health and safety.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the living environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Document resident care activities accurately and timely.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in crisis management as needed.

Requirements

• Current certification through Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry required.
• Nursing assistant experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Heimlich procedure skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized nursing assistant training program.
• Pass a background check.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy.

Pay

$21.15-$25.00/hour, plus shift differential.

Schedule

On call shifts available: AM: 6:30am-2:30pm, PM: 2:30pm-10:30pm, NOC: 10:30pm-6:30am.

Compensation

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. Shift and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
