Position: Full-time, live-out nanny for one child in Flatiron, with summers in the Hamptons and occasional travel to Miami.
About the Family
A warm, welcoming family with a thoughtful, communicative parenting style. Mom is a stay-at-home parent who values open communication and teamwork, while Dad works outside the home. The family appreciates initiative, organization, and someone who feels confident taking ownership of their role. They spend every summer in the Hamptons and often travel to Miami for up to 4 weeks each year.
About the Children
- One 2-year-old girl who is social, friendly, and enjoys interacting with others. She will attend a 2's preschool program for 2 hours, 3 days per week starting this fall.
- A baby brother is expected in December 2026. A full-time Newborn Care Specialist will care for him until May 2027.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 9:30 AM–5:30 PM (Monday–Thursday may be considered if needed).
- Summers in the Hamptons: 40 hours per week, inclusive of travel time.
- Start date is flexible.
- Ability to travel with the family (including up to 4 weeks in Miami annually) is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate care focused on fun, learning, and independence.
- Handle all child-related tasks, including laundry, tidying play spaces, cleaning the high chair, restocking supplies, and organizing child areas.
- Create playful learning opportunities by incorporating routines into games and activities.
- Help the child develop practical life skills such as folding clothes, putting them away, preparing healthy snacks, and building confidence through modeling.
- Collaborate with Mom throughout the day (e.g., emptying the dishwasher, tidying toys, and organizing shared spaces).
- No deep cleaning or major housekeeping is expected.
Requirements
- Warm, confident, proactive, and highly communicative.
- Strong command of English.
- Enjoys collaborating with an involved parent while managing responsibilities independently.
- Naturally narrates the day, incorporates fun into routines, and thrives in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license (required for summer camp drop-offs in the Hamptons; no NYC driving needed).
Pay & Benefits
- Pay: $40 per hour, with all overtime paid. Hourly rate increases by $5 per hour in Summer 2027 when care expands to include the second child.
- Seasonal relocation stipend for Hamptons and Miami travel, plus travel reimbursement.
- Health insurance stipend can be discussed.
- Paid PTO and paid sick/personal time.
No pets in the household.
