Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety and security following HIPAA guidelines.
• Preserve culture of safety utilizing safety at all times.
• Comply with safety and infection control policies, procedures, and recommended practices.
• Proficient in computer skills to carry out all secretarial duties as well as documentation of patient care.
• Able to complete all nursing assistant skills according to the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or its equivalent.
• Successful completion of North Carolina Board of Nursing certified Nurse Aide II program.
• Current Nursing Assistant II listing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Current Nursing Assistant I listing with NC Division of Facilities Services Registry.
• Successful completion of a formal cross training program regarding clerical duties.

• Department-specific certification requirements must be achieved with the first year of employment.
• Recommended
• BLS
• NCI – Maintain certifications prior to renewal date.
