About the role

KGHM ZANAM S.A., a leading Polish manufacturer of machinery and equipment for the mining sector, produces equipment for transshipment systems, transport units, tunneling, open-pit mining, and is a significant producer of steel and cast iron castings. We are seeking a Mechanical Shift Supervisor (Nadsztygar Mechaniczny) for our Underground Construction Works Department at KGHM ZANAM S.A., located in KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. mines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate team work and supervise task execution
• Accept service requests
• Conduct technical condition inspections of machinery
• Handle correspondence and prepare required reports
• Control the conduct of on-site training before commencing work
• Supervise the planning and implementation of training to enhance employee qualifications in the department
• Participate in technical acceptance of facilities resulting from task execution in KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. mines

Requirements

• Technical secondary education in mechanical engineering or related field
• Knowledge of geological and mining law regulations and other applicable regulations in mining plant operations
• Certificate confirming qualifications issued by the District Mining Office (OUG) for performing activities in higher mining supervision in the mechanical specialty for underground machinery and equipment
• Experience in managing mechanical works
• Experience in mining plant supervision
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Good communication skills
• Stress resistance

Qualifications

• Higher education in automation and robotics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, mining machinery and equipment
• Specialized course for newly employed management and mining supervision personnel in copper ore mines in the field of SMG transport
• Course for non-rescue supervision personnel in mining rescue
• Current training in: methods of providing on-site instructions and first aid
• Periodic OHS training for employers and other persons managing employees
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX system
