NA II Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Provide clinical support assistance to include, but not limited to, cleaning the work area, changing linens, re-stocking supplies, transporting patients/ supplies/ specimens, and assisting in the orientation of new employees and students.
• Provide direct personal care to patients such as but not limited to, dressing, feeding, assisting with ambulation.
• Measure and record vital signs, and patient height and weight.
• May be responsible for specimen collection, catheter care, blood glucose checks, simple wound care, and urinary catheterization.

Requirements

• High School or GED is preferred - or higher
• Active NAI listing with NC Division of Facilities Services Registry
• Active NAII listing with North Carolina Board of Nursing is required.
