About the Role

Recovery Centers of America (RCA) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide personalized, evidence‑based care to individuals recovering from substance use disorders. The RN will play a vital part in guiding patients toward lasting recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
• Provide individualized care by conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing tailored care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, therapists, and case managers—to coordinate holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and families on mental health disorders, addiction, and the need for treatment.
• Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate, confidential documentation.
• Foster a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state where the facility is located.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in behavioral health or addiction recovery, **or** 5 years supervisory experience (phlebotomy skills preferred).
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain during orientation.
• CARN certification preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to safely administer medications.
• Proficiency in managing medical and behavioral health emergencies (e.g., suicide ideation, aggression).
• Knowledge of healthcare, detoxification processes, addiction, co‑occurring disorders, and DSM criteria/terminology.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to compassionate patient care.
