The role involves supporting individuals with disabilities in various aspects of their daily lives, ensuring consistent safety, and fostering healthy relationships.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring consistent safety for clients
- Providing a healthy and professional friendship
- Personal hygiene and dressing assistance
- Scheduling, attending, and reporting on medical and therapeutic appointments
- Shopping, cooking, and cleaning with the client
- Encouraging regular exercise, socialization, and entertainment
Requirements
- High school or GED equivalent
- Two years of experience working with disabilities (preferred)
- Driver’s License required
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of insurance
- At least 18 years of age
- Provide a letter from a person or employer verifying field experience
