MXU Coordinator

About the role

At RJE Telecom, as an MXU Coordinator/Plant Engineer, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient systems and processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. You'll also engage with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results that meet customer needs. This position is in Virginia. Candidates must live in Virginia to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with remote drafting and GIS personnel to produce construction drawings for the network
• Plan, design, and obtain permits for new cable routes
• Work as part of a multi-faceted team of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer
• Engage regularly with the customer’s engineering team and project management for updates and feedback
• Provide frequent project progress updates and risk assessments to the management team
• Design aerial and underground telecommunications plant routes
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, plus at least one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination
• Proficient with Excel & Word
• Knowledge of Telecommunications industry standards
• Previous Verizon experience a plus
• Regulations for OSP facilities
• Aerial or underground construction methods and engineering requirements
• Government permit requirements
• OSP facilities, construction techniques and conduit records
• Easement, right of way and permit documents
• AutoCAD/Microstation or Geographic Information Systems
• Fiber optic counts, fiber assignments and splicing schematics

Physical Abilities & Exposures

Routinely: operate vehicle, walk, use keyboard and mouse. Occasionally: climb stairs and stand.

Pay

Salary range from $68,000.00 to $75,000.00 depending on experience
