MWR Facility Operations Assistant (Duty Manager)

Responsibilities

• Reviews the schedule of functions during the assigned shift and ensures necessary supplies and equipment are available.
• Schedules and calls staff as needed to meet facility requirements.
• Collaborates with staff to ensure planned events proceed as scheduled.
• Monitors facility operations, identifies and resolves problems, and maintains order by warning customers of disruptive behavior.
• Enforces facility rules and admittance policies to ensure only authorized patrons enter.
• Reports deviations from standard operations, policies, or procedures to the designated supervisor.
• Maintains a logbook of significant occurrences during the shift.
• Manages change funds, controls cash, and may perform unscheduled cash counts.
• Enters records and reports using a PC computer.
• Ensures personnel clock in and out properly and that change machines have adequate funds.
• Conducts fire safety checks before closing, including emptying trash receptacles and unplugging unnecessary electrical equipment.
• Secures the building by locking doors, windows, storerooms, and cashier’s office, and sets the security alarm system.
• Performs first-level supervisory duties, including personnel actions, performance appraisals, hiring/disciplinary recommendations, task assignments, and training.
• Supports Equal Employment Opportunity policies and ensures compliance with fire safety, security, and environmental regulations.
• Maintains security for funds, supplies, and equipment to prevent fraud, waste, or abuse.
• Assists with special events as needed.
• Performs other related or incidental duties as assigned.
