About the Role

The MVP Rewards Representative is responsible for assisting guests, both face-to-face and on the phone, regarding Canterbury Park programs and activities in a courteous and professional manner. This role ensures each guest is welcomed with the highest level of customer service and supports the Company’s mission, vision, and values by providing an unparalleled experience of fun and entertainment.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and practice the highest level of customer service by ensuring new and returning guests receive an exceptional experience.
  • Engage in meaningful and personalized conversation while assisting customers in making informed choices about their Canterbury experience.
  • Embrace Canterbury’s core values by having fun and conducting business the Canterbury way.
  • Ensure guests are welcomed into a clean, safe, and professional environment by taking ownership of the overall cleanliness of your work area.
  • Review and retain information from the Canterbury Post to support and promote all business units by communicating details of marketing promotions and upcoming events.
  • Promote the MVP Rewards program to all guests by offering detailed information about its benefits.
  • Assist with Loyalty Program promotions and maintain kiosks.
  • Support the Card Casino team with duties such as photographing Jackpot winners and assisting players with electronic dealer-assist Blackjack.
  • Fulfill general office duties, including maintaining inventory of office supplies, entering customer data, and resolving Lottery complaints.
  • Multi-task both verbally and through written communication while managing messages, returning phone calls, and answering incoming calls in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify problems before they occur and quickly contact the appropriate department to resolve them.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the event calendar.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to work in the cardroom.
  • Must interact with guests, coworkers, and management in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong communication and computer skills required.
  • Must be a team player willing to collaborate with all departments.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check and verification of work history.
  • Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
