About the role
Tempus seeks a passionate individual to join our team, leveraging their expertise in precision medicine and healthcare to support the advancement of clinical care through AI-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with various members of partner labs to manage sample and document requests, triage order issues, and coordinate shipping and receiving.
- Work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, and Lab teams to ensure customer retention and perceived/actual turnaround time goals are met.
- Maintain and build effective relationships with laboratory employees, sales representatives, and internal stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
- Use proactive problem-solving skills to identify and address customer needs and concerns, offering tailored solutions to customers of varying complexity.
- Stay informed about customer engagement efforts and provide relevant updates to internal teams in Customer Success, Sales, Communications Operations, and other departments.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Requirements
- 4-year college degree in Biological Sciences or a related field, preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly with patients via telephone and email.
- Ability to think critically and respond quickly to customer issues with a polite, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
- Highly organized and meticulous, with a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Initiative and teamwork skills, able to work independently on critical tasks and adapt to new processes smoothly.
- Basic knowledge of general office equipment and software, with proficiency in using computers.
Qualifications
- Preferred: 4-year college degree in Biological Sciences or a similar field.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills, including telephone and email interactions with patients.

Pay
Illinois Pay Range: $48,000 - $55,000. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
