Musical Theater Teacher [Temporary Parental Leave Replacement]

About the role

The successful candidate will be a temporary replacement for a parent who is on parental leave. The position is located at Highbridge Middle School in the Bronx, NY.

Responsibilities

• Teach musical theater classes to students in grades 6-8
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement curriculum
• Assist with after-school activities and performances

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music, Theatre, Education, or related field
• Experience teaching musical theater or performing arts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of current best practices in music and theater education
