Musical Artist-In-Residence

About the role

The Musical Artist-In-Residence program seeks an exceptional individual to serve as a creative catalyst for cultural engagement within the community. The artist will collaborate with local schools, arts organizations, and venues to develop innovative programs that enhance the artistic and educational experiences of participants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a diverse range of musical performances and workshops tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
• Collaborate with educators and administrators to integrate music education into school curricula.
• Engage with the broader community through public events and outreach initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to aspiring musicians and artists.

Requirements

• A proven track record in performing arts, including teaching and/or professional performance.
• Experience working with youth and adults in educational settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Education, or related field.
• Teaching certification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience with arts administration or community engagement.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using digital platforms for marketing and event planning.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay

The salary for this position is $50,000 annually.

Schedule

The Musical Artist-In-Residence works approximately 20 hours per week, with some evenings and weekends required for performances and community events.
