Responsibilities
- Teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum
- Work to increase student count and ensure each student grows, develops, and enjoys playing music
- Nurture our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect
- Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs
- Aid in customer service by helping to build and maintain long-term students
- Create a positive experience for students and parents through frequent communication and trust-building
- Communicate progress and goals to students and parents
Requirements
- Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field
- Ability to teach the instrument you are proficient in, such as drums, guitar, keyboard, etc.
- Skilled in demonstrating competency and proficiency in the area you will be teaching
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with students and parents
- Passion for music and a desire to share that passion with others
- Effective communication skills to convey lesson plans and progress to students and parents
