About the role

Guitar Center is a nationwide music retailer dedicated to fostering a community of musicians and music enthusiasts. Our mission is to inspire creativity and make music accessible to everyone.

Responsibilities

  • Teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum
  • Work to increase student count and ensure each student continues to grow and enjoy playing music
  • Nurture our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect
  • Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs
  • Aid in customer service by helping to build and maintain long-term student relationships
  • Communicate with students and/or parents about each student's progress and goals
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field
  • Ability to teach the instrument you are proficient in, such as drums, guitar, keyboard, etc.
  • Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area you will be teaching

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledgeable about Guitar Center's products and services
