MUSIC TEACHER, ST. MARGARET, MONTGOMERY COUNTY

About the role

The Music Teacher is responsible for providing instruction for students in Preschool through 8th Grade. Instruction is based on the curriculum provided by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. In addition to teaching, the music teacher will be required to produce the Christmas Concert, Spring Concert and Talent Show, lead the student choir, coordinate with the parish music ministry to prepare for monthly liturgies and provide music for 8th Grade, Preschool, PK and Kindergarten graduations.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Music or a related field, with certification, is preferred.
• Experience working in a classroom setting is also preferred.
• Candidates with similar education/experience will be considered.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and communication
• Prepare and submit weekly lesson plans
• Communicate with administration and parents, as needed
