Position Summary
Annunciation is seeking a Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Prepare and implement lesson plans for Music.
- Enforce and establish rule.
- Maintain student records following established procedures and practices.
- Prepare report cards.
- Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and the community.
- Attend planning meetings, team meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings as requested.
- Monitor use and care of equipment, materials and facilities.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitute teachers; include class lists and any special instructions.
- Monitor and evaluate student skill levels and outcomes.
- Create emergency lesson plans as required.
- Maintain regular, on-time attendance.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency plans for school, such as lockdown drills.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or current NC Licensure or an out-of-state equivalent or working toward licensure or degree in Music Education.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
