About the role
The Music Teacher at Saint Patrick Academy will develop and implement a comprehensive music program that fosters a love of music, creativity, and performance among students.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a general music curriculum for Pre-K 3 through 8th grade students.
- Vocal and/or instrumental direction for students.
- Create opportunities for student performances within the school community.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and the community.
- Demonstrate a passion for engaging young learners through music.
- Develop and deliver curriculum that incorporates interdisciplinary connections, performance opportunities, and varied instructional approaches.
- Utilize technology to create authentic learning experiences for students.
- Support the Catholic mission and work in a faith-based environment.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience teaching music to elementary and/or middle school students.
- Passion for engaging young learners through music.
- Skills in curriculum development and instruction.
- Willingness to integrate project-based learning, social-emotional learning, and differentiated instruction into teaching practice.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
- Teaching certification in Music Education.
- Experience working in an independent Catholic school setting preferred.
