Music Teacher

Role Overview

A Music Teacher at Exsportise develops and delivers creative, student-centred music lessons that foster technical skill, creativity, and teamwork. They maintain equipment, organise performances, and promote a safe, inclusive environment that inspires love for music and cultural exploration. The role also involves lesson planning, assessing and documenting progress, producing recordings, mentoring assistants, communicating with parents, and supporting wider camp activities if required.

Job Specific Personal Specification & Qualifications

To be suitable for this role, you are proficient in playing and teaching a wide variety of music (instrumental and vocal), familiar with diverse genres and styles, and experienced in organising group performances, recitals, music recording, and editing. You provide constructive feedback and communicate musical concepts accessibly, with experience working with children, ideally international students, and a genuine passion for creating positive, nurturing environments that inspire and motivate learners of all ability levels. You bring strong leadership and teamworking skills to set high standards, remain responsible and hardworking, communicate effectively at all levels, stay enthusiastic and friendly while engaging fully in camp life, adapt flexibly to working hours, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity for inclusive work with diverse groups.

To Apply

All staff must be over the age of 18 and must have completed secondary school / college at least one year prior to joining us. This safeguarding measure is in place to protect both our students and our staff. Staff must be medically fit for their role; where necessary, reasonable adjustments will be discussed and made.

Additional Duties

• Participate in daily staff meetings, contributing updates on activity delivery, student welfare, and operations.
• Adhere to Staff Handbook guidelines and Centre Manager directives, assist with camp setup/pack-down ensuring equipment / resources / facilities are prepared / secured, and undertake any additional reasonable duties.
