Music Teacher 2 days per week

About the role

The Helen S. Dunn School is seeking a two-day-per-week band and vocal music teacher to join their Pre-K through Grade 8 School. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in instrumental instruction, general music classes, and Middle School Chorus.

Responsibilities

• Teach band and vocal music classes to students in grades Pre-K through 8
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to provide a comprehensive educational experience
• Assist with extracurricular activities such as school concerts and performances

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
• Valid teaching certificate
• Experience teaching band and vocal music
• Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
