Music Producer – Y2K Pop/Techno Fusion

This role is focused on bringing a modern pop album, inspired by the raw energy of early-2000s icons, to life. The project, titled "The Shutdown," seeks a producer who can blend the distinctive Y2K sound—think PCD, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Busta Rhymes, and Timbaland—with a fresh, techno-forward edge. The ideal collaborator will help transform existing lyrics and melodies into polished, release-ready tracks, ensuring the final product feels both nostalgic and current. The work will be primarily remote, with the possibility of hybrid sessions, and is expected to unfold over the next 2–3 months.

Deliverables

• Develop and produce beats that capture the early-2000s pop and techno vibe
• Guide vocal recording sessions, including vocal stacking and harmonies
• Collaborate closely on creative references and demo shaping
• Mix and engineer tracks to a professional standard
• Master final recordings for release
• Communicate regularly to align on creative direction and project milestones

Requirements

• Proven experience in pop music production, especially with Y2K and techno influences
• Strong skills in beat development, vocal production, and mixing/mastering
• Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs and plugins
• Ability to interpret creative references and adapt to a defined artistic vision
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with emerging artists
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Availability for a 2–3 month project timeline
