About the role

To achieve and maintain standards of excellence in club activities, while allowing all participants to develop gain through individual and group experiences.

Responsibilities

• Recruits members.
• Encourages participation.
• Plans and supervises all club activities and meetings.
• Maintains all necessary records, reports, and budgetary accounts.
• Oversees fund raising efforts, if applicable.
• Secures and maintains equipment and supplies that are needed for club activities.
• Represents the district in a professional manner.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve an effective and safe learning environment.
• Other duties may be assigned according to activity area or building assignments.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises and advises students of particular club activity.

Requirements

• Background or interest in the particular club activity.
• Experience at the specific school level preferred.

Skills

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, parents, or employees of the district.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability and reflect a spirit of cooperation in working with staff and school administration.
• Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in verbal and written form.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and School Board policies.
• Ability to use technology to accomplish job responsibilities that may include basic knowledge of e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to direct others and deal with people.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties.
