Pinewood Elementary School is seeking a Music Educator for the 2027 school year.
About the role
The Music Educator will be responsible for providing music education to students in grades K-5, adhering to the district's curriculum standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement music lessons that align with state and district standards.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects that integrate music into the curriculum.
- Perform classroom management duties to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians and colleagues.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Certification in Music K-12 required.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Pass a background check.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
