An opportunity is available for a talented music composer to craft immersive background music for a 45-minute pilot episode of a science-fiction educational series. The project requires a cohesive musical identity that enhances the atmosphere, pacing, and transitions across seven distinct scenes, while supporting the educational narrative. The music should be memorable, cinematic, and tailored to a sci-fi setting, yet subtle enough to complement narration and dialogue without distraction. This is a fully remote project with an urgent timeline.

Deliverables

• Compose original background music for a 45-minute pilot episode, covering seven scenes
• Develop signature motifs and themes that reinforce the sci-fi and educational tone
• Ensure seamless musical transitions between scenes and segments
• Deliver high-quality audio files in required formats, ready for integration with video
• Collaborate with the production team to align musical direction with creative vision
• Revise and refine compositions based on feedback from the production team

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in composing for film, television, or educational media, with a strong portfolio of relevant work
• Proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs) and virtual instruments
• Ability to create cinematic, atmospheric, and genre-appropriate music
• Strong understanding of how music supports storytelling, pacing, and mood
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback
• Ability to work independently and deliver within tight deadlines
