About the role

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences, and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties.
• The education of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital.
• Provide clinical service in the usual clinical skill sets (PF, CT, MRI, arthrograms/joint aspirations).
• Competence in diagnostic MSK US and image-guided tumor biopsies will be expected.
• Participate in the Musculoskeletal Imaging off-hours on-call program, including evening, night, and weekend coverage.
• Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading the development of a focused body of research in a field within Musculoskeletal Imaging.
• Serve as a mentor to junior faculty, providing strong guidance and support in the development of clinical or basic research careers.

Requirements

• An M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
• Certified by the American Board of Radiology.
• Completion of a musculoskeletal imaging fellowship is strongly recommended.
