Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and monitors program curriculum for specified courses. Ensures that all required didactic and clinical educational needs are met.
- Maintains and evaluates the performance of program students. Provides instruction, counseling, and guidance for students.
- Acts as liaison as required with all clinical training site instructors and ensures that educational standards are met and records are maintained.
- Serves as supervisor for the daily operation of the imaging educational program.
- Substitutes for other instructors as needed.
- Affords assistance in the testing and interviewing of program applicants.
- Provides recommendations for and monitors the program budget.
- Interprets the National and State standards for accreditation. Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures necessary for compliance with these standards.
- Supports programmatic accreditation; assisting with accreditation renewal.
- Participates in faculty committees.
- Affords assistance in the acquisition and maintenance of both national and state accreditation for the training program. Meets with the accrediting agencies to discuss program operation and development. Incorporates all necessary operational functions to comply with accreditation requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of full-time experience in the professional discipline.
- Bachelor's degree OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- One (1) year supervisory experience.
- Two (2) years of experience as a classroom or clinical instructor (preceptor) in an accredited training program.
- Masters degree.
Qualifications
- For Imaging Programs holds ARRT, or NMTCB, or ARDMS, or RDCS/RCS certification(s).
- For Echo instructor position ARDMS and RDCS or RCS required or equivalent Certification/registration in the pertinent discipline.
- For Nuclear Medicine Technology Instructior NMTCB required or equivalent Certification/registration in the pertinent discipline.
- For Radiography Instructor position ARRT required or equivalent Certification/registration in the pertinent discipline.
