Municipal Sales Manager

About the role

The Municipal Sales Manager will drive automation solutions within the municipal water and wastewater industry, promoting SJE's Controls and Level Sensing Technologies (CLT) products and supporting customer needs through meetings, emails, or phone calls.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with current and potential customers through meetings, emails, or phone calls to meet or exceed established sales goals.
• Promote SJE’s CLT products within the municipal water and wastewater industry.
• Work with customers to find solutions to their problems and conduct in-house and out-of-house product training for employees, distributors, and end users.
• Analyze market trends to identify new product ideas and work with the Product Management and Marketing Teams to develop value propositions & case studies.
• Plan/represent SJE at regional and national trade shows and develop and plan regional and national distribution meetings across the region.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A natural drive to succeed and be very well organized
• A high level of technical automation competence to support customer and company needs
• An understanding of rep management, know your territory, and be able to build relationships

Qualifications

• A 2-year technical degree or 4-year bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7-10 years of experience is preferred
