Municipal Project Manager

AE2S is an award-winning civil/environmental consulting engineering firm known for exceptional client service and a strong company culture. The Project Manager will lead project teams, deliver high-quality work on time and on budget, and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional civil engineering services including design, plans, specifications, reports, budgets, scopes of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and sub-consultant/contractor coordination.
  • Manage performance of project team members such as Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, and Technicians.
  • Maintain and enhance client relationships; identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities.
  • Provide quality control and assurance on all project work; maintain project budgets and schedules.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development.
  • Ability to manage projects, clients, and project team members.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements including criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • 10+ years of experience in civil engineering.

Physical Qualifications

  • Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight; may require lifting up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects.
  • May be required to wear PPE including flame-resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.
  • May require occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel with varying overtime expectations.
