About the role
North America’s leading manufacturer of work truck bodies and truck beds is seeking a Municipal Outside Sales Representative in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, sell, and proactively manage relationships with the municipal market
- Prepare and present sales proposals, build custom quotes, place and manage orders
- Prepare and deliver responses to RFQs and bids
- Meet regularly with key decision-makers from municipalities, counties, and state agencies to build and maintain relationships
- Attend council and/or board meetings as necessary
- Maintain an awareness of market dynamics and competitors’ activity
- Attend local industry trade shows and participate in local chambers or other community associations and trade groups
Requirements
- Municipal sales experience; previous experience working with municipalities, counties, and state agencies
- Understanding of municipal, county, and state RFQ/bid programs
- Previous work truck equipment sales experience
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
