Municipal Civil Engineer

About the role

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Municipal Civil Engineer in one of the following locations: Champaign, Effingham, Normal, Peoria, or Pontiac, IL. This role involves managing, supporting, and building relationships with clients and agencies, working on a variety of projects related to water, sewer, and streets for local and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage, support, and build relationships with clients and agencies
• Work with a variety of projects for municipal client needs related to water, sewer and streets
• Conduct field inspections, measurements or calculations
• Perform condition assessments
• Prepare and develop construction, design documents and plans
• Manage projects and programs from inception to completion

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 2 – 5 years of Civil Engineering experience
• FE or PE Certification, or expected to be obtained
• Experience with IDOT, MFT and local agency projects
• Experience or understanding of working with state and local authorities
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Ability to work both in the office and field for construction engineering and observation
• Management, communication, and organization skills

Pay

$70,000 - $90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
