Municipal Civil Engineer

About the role

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Municipal Civil Engineer in Champaign, Effingham, Normal, Peoria, or Pontiac, IL. In this role, you will be focused on the planning, design, and management of various civil engineering projects including water, wastewater, and stormwater for local and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage, support, and build relationships with clients and agencies
• Work on a variety of projects for municipal client needs related to water, sewer, and streets
• Conduct field inspections, measurements, or calculations
• Perform condition assessments
• Prepare and develop construction, design documents, and plans
• Manage projects and programs from inception to completion

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 2 – 5 years of Civil Engineering experience
• FE or PE Certification, or expected to be obtained
• Experience with IDOT, MFT, and local agency projects
• Experience or understanding of working with state and local authorities
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Ability to work both in the office and field for construction engineering and observation
• Strong management, communication, and organization skills

Pay

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity).
