About the role

Under the general direction of the General Service Director or Service Manager, the Multisite Maintenance Technician supports maintenance efforts of two or more apartment communities and is accountable for delivering on resident commitments of exceptional move-in, total satisfaction, express service, and personal attention. The role involves responding to resident service requests, completing make-ready work, and maintaining common areas while exemplifying professionalism and superior customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Prepare all market-ready apartments.
  • Perform various maintenance functions, including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC (if applicable), and interior repairs.
  • Maintain grounds and common areas, keeping them free of trash, debris, and snow as applicable.
  • Perform on-call emergency service as required.
  • Complete special maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Report maintenance concerns for repairs to the Service Manager.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state apartment housing laws, as well as internal policies and systems.
  • Attend and participate in required training programs.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Hands-on general service maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment (if applicable), and perform interior repairs and painting preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required if operating a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart) during work or as part of the role.
  • Computer literacy and ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in English for all work-related purposes.
  • Ability to work any assigned shift, including weekends, with possible shift changes based on business needs.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies after normal business hours and on weekends when assigned on-call responsibilities.
  • Service team members are required to use their own smartphone for job-related tasks; the device must have updated software, be password-protected, and compliant with in-house security systems.
  • Ability to perform numerous physical activities, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, sweeping, stooping, kneeling, shoveling, crouching, lifting, and handling materials. Frequent lifting, grasping, and carrying of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Trade school certification/diploma preferred.
  • EPA Section 608 Type I, Type II, or Universal certification preferred.
  • Residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail experience preferred.

Pay

The starting pay range is $26.09 – $31.89 per hour, determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. Team members are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives.
