On-siteInformation Technology$15–$25/hrFull-time

About the role

We are hiring dependable, hard-working team members to support turkey breeder farm operations inside the Anson County area. These roles are essential to maintaining healthy birds and supporting the food supply chain.

Employees work directly with live turkeys inside controlled barn environments. Duties vary by position but include animal handling, production tasks, sanitation, and general farm work.

Because protecting flock health is critical, all farms follow strict biosecurity procedures, including required shower-in and shower-out before entering or leaving barns.

Responsibilities

  • Egg Picker
  • Egg House Worker
  • Catchers - Catch and move birds safely as directed
  • Milkers (Breeder Production) - Collect semen from breeder toms (training provided)
  • Lay Farm Manager (Updated resumes are required along with 2+ years of management experience)

- Oversee daily operations focused on producing fertile eggs. Responsibilities include managing flock health, maintaining strict biosecurity, directing staff, and operating farm equipment.

- Flock Husbandry: Supervising the daily care and welfare and egg production of laying hens.

- Artificial Insemination: Because commercial turkeys are heavy-breasted, managers frequently oversee AI teams to ensure optimal egg fertility.

- Egg Handling & Sanitation: Implementing strict protocols to collect eggs multiple times a day, clean nests, and maintain proper cooling temperatures. This prevents microbial contamination and ensures high hatchability at the hatchery.

- Environmental Control: Monitoring barn temperature, lighting schedules, and ventilation systems to keep hens comfortable and encourage maximum egg yield.

- Biosecurity & Sanitation: Enforcing strict protocols to prevent disease. This includes disinfecting facilities, controlling pests, and requiring staff to avoid contact with backyard poultry.

- Staff & Resource Supervision: Scheduling/delegating daily workflow, monitoring feed inventories, and training farm workers/personnel.
