Research-Intensive Associate/Full Professor Tenure System Positions

MSU is seeking exceptional mid- to advanced-career investigators with innovative research portfolios and a history of external funding to join the department. Positions are 80-90% research effort. Public health priorities identified by the Flint community include:

MSU is seeking one or more biostatisticians to lead and collaborate on federally funded projects, with 80-90% research effort. Areas of expertise may include:

• Geospatial analysis
• Biostatistics and research design
• Analysis of interventions (e.g., difference-in-differences)
• AI analytics
• Agent-based modeling
• Bayesian modeling
• Causal inference

1855 Professorship

One tenured position at the Associate or Full Professor level is available through the MSU Provost’s 1855 Professorships initiative. This role is designed for an established researcher in community-engaged health equity research, focusing on areas such as:

The faculty member will contribute to the multidisciplinary “Science for Community Impact” cluster, conducting translational science with marginalized communities using equity-focused partnerships.
