About the Role
The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist performs both invasive and non-invasive procedures across various imaging modalities, including Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Bone Densitometry. They operate complex imaging equipment, utilize sterile techniques when necessary, and assist physicians to produce high-quality imaging studies. The role requires working independently within at least two modalities to meet departmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures accurately and efficiently
- Operate advanced imaging equipment
- Maintain sterile techniques when applicable
- Assist physicians during procedures
- Ensure quality and compliance in imaging practices
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited JCERT program
- ARRT registered with post-primary certification in at least one additional modality or obtain certification within specified timeframes
- Current BLS certification
- Previous experience in a multi-disciplined radiology department; two years preferred
