Multimedia Specialist II with Security Clearance

About the role

Location: Mc Lean, VA (occasional support at FHWA HQ, Washington, DC). Clearance: Unclassified; requires USDOT badge and favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI, low risk / non-sensitive). E-Verify required.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the conceptualization and execution of complex visual projects across digital, print, web, social media, and video platforms, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and technical specifications.
• Work on high-level design and video projects from wireframing to final production, collaborating with marketing and technical teams to optimize user experience and aesthetic impact.
• Create and integrate visual, audio, and interactive content for digital platforms and presentations.
• Independently manage production workflows from beginning to end, including design concepts, photo shoots, video shoots, animations, and web-based media.
• Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to ensure multimedia products align with technical requirements and follow Section 508 accessibility standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in digital media production and design software.

Qualifications

• Experience providing 508-compliant video captioning and remediation.
• Transportation or federal environment experience.
