Under the general supervision of the Director of Events, the Multimedia Specialist serves as the primary creative production resource for the Allegheny County Airport Authority's Communications & Brand Department. This role is responsible for conceiving, designing, and producing high-quality multimedia content that advances the Authority's communications, marketing, employee engagement, and brand storytelling objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary video production resource for Communications & Brand, overseeing concept development, planning, filming, editing, and final delivery across multiple channels.
  • Produce engaging multimedia content for internal and external communications, executive messaging, marketing campaigns, websites, Blue Sky News, and media distribution.
  • Create short-form and real-time social media video optimized for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop motion graphics, animations, title sequences, and other visual enhancements that strengthen storytelling.
  • Design high-quality graphic assets for digital, print, presentations, signage, advertising, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Ensure all video and graphic outputs align with brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
  • Partner with internal departments to identify visual storytelling opportunities and translate complex topics into compelling multimedia content.
  • Capture and edit photography and video for airport events, inaugurals, executive engagements, media opportunities, and community activities.
  • Support live event production, including video coverage, presentation support, multimedia display content, and real-time content creation.
  • Collaborate with Communications & Brand team members on integrated campaigns across internal communications, marketing, PR, and social media.
  • Maintain, organize, and manage digital assets in the DAM system, ensuring proper tagging, categorization, and governance compliance.
  • Support DAM best practices and train team members on uploading, tagging, categorizing, searching, and retrieving assets.
  • Assist with maintenance and organization of multimedia production equipment and provide limited logistical and administrative event support.
  • Serve on the Communications & Brand crisis communications response team and perform other related tasks as assigned, including timely and effective multimedia content under tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Broadcast Media, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of professional experience in multimedia production, graphic design, video production, digital storytelling, or related creative fields.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality graphic and video content for digital, print, web, presentations, and social media.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience managing creative projects from concept through delivery while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Skilled in producing and optimizing video content for social media, including short-form and platform-specific formats.
  • Ability to develop creative assets that maintain brand consistency across multiple communication channels.
  • Working knowledge of photography, including camera operation and image editing.
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management systems and creating motion graphics or animations using After Effects or similar tools (preferred).
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and possess or obtain a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license.

  • Strong storytelling ability with skill in translating complex information into clear, engaging visual narratives across multiple formats.
  • Proven capability to produce integrated multimedia content combining video production, graphic design, and digital storytelling.
  • Advanced expertise in professional video production, including concept development, scripting, storyboarding, camera operation, lighting, audio, directing, editing, and post-production.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
