About the role
The Multimedia Designer specialist produces high-definition photorealistic and photo-accurate media for simulation and emulation scenarios. Supports analysis and development of ISD deliverables using the instructional system design (ISD) process, assists with proposal efforts, and completes work within time-sensitive schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Work with Subject Matter Experts, Instructional System Designer Specialists, and Web Developers to produce training materials for Computer Aided Training (CAIs) and Classroom Led Instruction (IBTs).
- Build high-definition 2D graphics and support interactive 2D and 3D media assets.
- Create/edit videos and audio using various software applications.
- Create CD/DVDs of photo or media as required.
- Research audio/video equipment and software applications and provide recommendations to management.
- Research and select appropriate tools for projects based on requirements and resource availability.
- Conduct internal quality checks (IQCs) on all courseware deliverables to meet department standards.
- Research and recommend solutions by comparing custom development and commercial off-the-shelf products.
- Create templates and documentation for other designers and developers to rapidly produce interactive training scenarios.
- Ensure projects stay within estimated schedule and budget requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school/college in Art, Graphic Art, Design, Illustration, or a related field.
- Experience in digital photo editing/manipulation.
- Experience in video editing/manipulation.
- Experience with 2D animation.
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Thorough understanding of design and development principles and how to integrate them into existing processes.
- United States Top Secret Security Clearance.
