About the Role

WTVY News4 is seeking an ambitious Multimedia Journalist to join its leading news team. The news management team emphasizes coaching, training, and innovation, offering opportunities to cover breaking news, severe weather, anchoring, and unique Wiregrass stories like the National Peanut Festival. This role is ideal for hardworking and professional recent college graduates looking to sharpen their journalism skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop sources and contacts for your assigned topic or beat.
• Contribute to editorial meetings, including story pitches and feedback for others.
• Produce daily content and special projects for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Provide compelling live elements for broadcast and digital platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field.
• MMJ and/or anchoring reel.
• Three professional references.
