Multimedia Journalist (MMJ)

About the Role

We are looking for a Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to report, shoot, and edit news stories. You will enterprise story ideas, develop contacts, and produce daily content across multiple platforms, including television, the internet, social networking sites, and mobile phones.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories in NPPA style
• Enterprise story ideas and develop contacts
• Produce daily content for television, digital, and social platforms
• Perform live shots
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years of reporting experience (preferred)
• Experience with live shots (required)
• Experience with Live-U (a plus)
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record

Skills

• Sharp news judgment
• Ability to tell stories in NPPA style
• Excellent technical skills
• Ability to work well independently

Pay

Hourly compensation range: $19 to $21 per hour. Final compensation will be determined by relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
