About the role

KTTC is seeking a Morning MMJ to join its dynamic newsroom. The ideal candidate is curious, eager to share facts, and passionate about making an impact.

Responsibilities

• Prepare stories for the morning newscast
• Participate in editorial meetings to discuss and refine story ideas
• Pitch content through Microsoft Teams the day before
• Confirm interviews, research, and shoot video
• Edit stories for broadcast and post to the station website and social media
• Make daily story pitches for the following day

Qualifications/Requirements

• A college degree is welcome but not required
• Strong writing skills are essential
• A desire to learn and seek truth is a priority
• Ability to shoot and edit video will be taught
